A Heartfelt Rescue: Kitten Saved From the Heat.

On the hottest day of the year, a team from Hopefield Animal Sanctuary in Brentwood, Essex, swooped in to save a cat and her six adorable kittens.

Abandoned without water near a closed school on Sawyers Hall Lane, the little furballs were discovered just when temperatures soared to a sweltering 32°C (90°F).

The sanctuary’s staff expressed their disbelief, stating the kittens had been "dumped like rubbish."

Thankfully, their plight was short-lived, as Xico, an animal caregiver, found them during a lunchtime stroll.

Now, these sweet kittens are enjoying plenty of love and care from the sanctuary team.

Three tabby and three black kittens, aged just four to six weeks, are proving to be friendly and sociable, suggesting they’ve had human companionship before.

The kittens' mother has been affectionately named Aurora, inspired by the breathtaking Northern lights visible the same evening.

While they are currently being cared for, the sanctuary is not taking adoption inquiries at this time.

Together, they’re a heartwarming reminder of hope in difficult times.
