RESCUE AND ADOPTION
Three Tiny Kittens Found Abandoned in School Bin.
In a surprising find at Torquay Academy, cleaner Shane Corderoy discovered three tiny kittens, barely days old, abandoned in a school bin.
Initially mistaking the sounds for rodents, Shane was "gobsmacked" to find the helpless creatures. He quickly moved them to safety, placing them in a warm box.
Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of Hector's House Cat Rescue, only one kitten, now named Audley, survived.
Zara Oldfield from the rescue explained that the kittens were extremely young, cold, and needed immediate care.
They were placed in an incubator, given glucose, and hydrated, but two did not make it through. Audley, the sole survivor, is currently fighting an eye infection but showing signs of recovery.
Efforts to locate the mother cat were unsuccessful, with no sightings on CCTV or through traps set around the school.
The focus now is on Audley's health and finding him a loving home. This story of rescue and care highlights the fragility of life and the compassion of those who step in to help.
The way to get on with a cat is to treat it as an equal – or even better, as the superior it knows itself to be.

Despite his nickname, Ash is more about the company than the cuisine, making him a charming, if not slightly distracting, sous chef.
His dad, although frequently interrupted, cherishes these moments, proving that cooking with a cat can fill your heart before your belly.
